Getting Started

Installing Codex Black Edition

Install Codex Black Edition in a few steps:

  1. Download the .vsix file (a .zip alternative is also provided), about 18 MB.
  2. Run code --install-extension codex-black-ed-1.0.3.vsix.
  3. Open the panel from the Command Palette ("Codex Black: Open Panel") or press Ctrl+Shift+B (Cmd+Shift+B on macOS).
  4. Select a model in Settings and add your API keys, or use one of the keyless options.

That is all it takes. The extension is standalone, so you do not need any other VS Code extension installed.
